Villa Le Bicocche is in the Chianti Classico area, 15km from Florence, 5km from Impruneta and 6km from Strada in Chianti. A three-bedroom, two-bathroom villa, it has its own pool and 280 square metres of living space.

Only 20-30 minutes drive from the historical centre of Florence, next to the superb Ugolio Golf Course, this very impressive country house is the perfect place to spend a unique vacation in Tuscany.

The loggia, in front of the house, can be accessed both from the sitting room via the front door and from the dining room /kitchen via a sliding French window. The pool (12 x 7 metres) and garden can both be lit at night. How lovely to sit out-of-doors at night, in the warm summer air, cicadas chirping and the garden giving off a million scents of flowers and Mediterranean herbs. How refreshing to take a dip in the pool after a roasting summer's day, under the twinkling Tuscan night sky.

Sun chairs and tables are placed around the garden; in convenient spots in the sun and out of it. One of the best breakfasts to be had is below an old oak out on the lawn. A group of four oaks will be your umbrella to have lunch or dinner outside. Table sits 12 people.


The ground floor has the living room, TV area, dining room with kitchen area, utility room and bathroom with shower. The upper floor has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Throughout the house exposed wooden beams and whitewashed walls, true to the original style of a country house, are complemented by white sofas and chairs in the living room, white bed linen and white drapes in the bedrooms. A magnificent open fireplace means roast chestnuts and warm toes in the cooler months.

There is a separate area off the main living room where one can watch a little television. The sound system will take CDs and tapes - even LPs and singles. Choose from our eclectic selection. On the ground floor the dining room has a very large table that seats 14 people. A separate kitchen area is fully equipped to prepare meals. Also a separate utility room houses a washing machine and dryer, storage space and even an additional large shower - great for a post-pool rinse-off.

On the upper floor, we pass through a cosy open sitting area at the top of the stairs and reach a hallway, leading to two double bedrooms and a bathroom. One bedroom has a smoked glass window onto the hallway, and has a double/twin bed, a wardrobe, and a writing table. The second double/twin room also has a large wardrobe. Finally, there is a wonderfully large bedroom complete with a private sitting area and open fireplace.

The large en-suite bathroom has twin basins and a large jacuzzi bath-tub with shower attachment. The hand-made tiles in this bathroom were originally on the walls of a Neapolitan villa in the 15th century. Fully restored, you can now admire them here. The floor-to-ceiling window offers a lovely view of the garden, pool and green hills beyond.
