This exceptional villa enjoys total privacy and is part of an ancient hamlet. Only 30 minutes from Pisa and Florence, and with Empoli and its shops and restaurants a mere 5 minutes away, Villa il Cotone offers you a tranquil and idyllic haven within its enclosed olive cultivated grounds.

Until recently the owner's family home, this carefully restored villa has been tastefully decorated and retains its homely atmosphere with quality furnishings and comfortable interiors. Traditional features of wooden beams and terracotta floors are skillfully blended with vibrant colours, contemporary furniture and rich fabrics to create a really delightful ambience. Outside the villa are manicured grass terraces with over 200 olive trees and on a higher and more private south-facing terrace is the beautifully set swimming pool with sunbeds, the perfect spot to read or sip a glass of Chianti.

The villa is traditionally Italian with the the kitchen at its heart. With its own entrance, this superbly equipped family kitchen boasts a large wooden table seating up to 12 guests, a central stove unit, oven, microwave, toaster, blender and dishwasher, and will appeal to the keenest of cooks. A working fireplace adds to the welcoming atmosphere in the colder months.
The kitchen leads to the very comfortable living area with its marvellous open fireplace and complete with stereo, DVD player and flat screen satellite TV. Large french windows lead onto the covered loggia and provide natural light all day. There is a billiard table for the guests' entertainment and there is airconditioning and free wifi internet access throughout the villa. There is also a WC on this floor.

On the first floor there are 5 bedrooms with sweeping views over the valley. The master bedroom, which has a view over the patio, has an ensuite bathroom with large shower and an elegant bathtub. The other two double bedrooms have finely tiled ensuite shower rooms and can be made up as twin rooms on request. There are two more bedrooms which can also be made up as twins on request, one with ensuite shower room.
Pets are allowed providing they stay in the approximately 8sqm contained area outside.
It is possible to arrange for a private chef at the villa, and wine tours are available on request.

You will be strongly tempted to never leave this wonderfully relaxing base, but dozens of famous cities, town, galleries and museums await your discovery to say nothing of the suberb local cuisine and wines. From Empoli there are regular trains to Florence, Pisa and Siena as well the seaside resorts, and all are easily reachable on day trips.
