This attractive house is near Montopoli Val d´Arno, where the landscape gently slopes down into the valley of the Arno. Villa Olimpia sleeps 7, with 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a WC. It is a few kilometres from the little village of Montopoli and belongs to the municipality of Pisa, halfway between Pisa and Florence. A narrow, gravel road (400 m) leads to the property. The house stands in a 1000 m2 garden.

Montopoli is a very quaint Tuscan village with a few cafés and local shops. Nearby, the larger town of Pontedera offers a train station, supermarkets, shops, gas stations, pharmacies, a hospital, post offices, restaurants, cafés, and movie theatres. Close to this Tuscan villa are several cities ideal for daytrips: Pisa, Lucca, Florence (convenient by train from Pontedera), San Gimignano and Volterra.

Neat lawns surround the early 19th century farmhouse. The simple exterior hides pleasantly furnished rooms - a typical Italian understatement! Although the house is equipped with all modern conveniences, it still retains its original, simple character. Many typical details have been maintained: a broad archway and smaller, pointed arch in the large hall on the ground floor; a rustic fireplace in the spacious dining room; antique beams and terracotta floors which are characterized by charming unevenness in some rooms.

The warm colors of wood and terracotta blend well with the fresh paint on the walls. The modern kitchen is fully equipped and just as attractive as the other rooms. In the bathrooms once again great care has been taken in the choice of furniture. (There is also a third WC in the utility room). The four bedrooms offer outstanding views of the surrounding countryside. The various family-owned antiques add to the comfortable, classical atmosphere of the house.

The lawn is well cared for and there are several shady trees, as well as garden furniture for sitting or lying outside. A gardener service is provided every day. Enjoy a wonderful panoramic view over the surrounding fields and woodland, undisturbed peace and absolute privacy. Great access to cities of art, the coast and the thermal baths.
The property is ideally situated. Your daily shopping can be done in Marti, where there is also a bar and restaurant. Montopoli Val d'Arno has a larger supermarket and train station with connections to Florence, Pisa and Livorno. The main road is also nearby. This superstrada, which connects Florence with Pisa and Livorno (approx. 10 km away), will quickly take you to the famous art-filled cities or to the coast. Pisa is 50 km away and Florence 80 km. The smaller Medieval towns such as Palaia, San Miniato, Vinci, Cerreto Guidi, Volterra or San Gimignano can all be reached within an hour or so. A trip to the romantic and often forgotten Lucca is highly recommended. Lucca is a secret jewel with almost one hundred churches and elegant display windows in the shops (our favorite feature!). The Tyrrhenian Riviera with its long sandy beaches, near Pisa, the wild rocky shores at Calafuria and the beach resorts of Livorno are only 40 minutes' drive away.

Why not round off your day at the beach with a browse around the attractive seaside towns of Castiglioncello and Quercianella. Bathing is also possible in the cooler months here: a 30 minutes' drive will bring you to the little spa of Casciana Terme, with its ultramodern spa and thermal centre. Those looking for a wellness break will enjoy the many facilities on offer in Casciana: thermal baths, cosmetic and therapeutic treatments, acupuncture, solarium, massage, hydromassage and sauna. All in all, Villa Olimpia is a wonderful spot for a large family or group of friends. Enjoy a peaceful holiday with house and garden and the many attractions of the Tuscany region.

The house's floor area is 190 m2. On the ground floor is the living room with dining area and fireplace, kitchen with oven, washing machine, dishwasher, toaster, electric coffee pot, fridge/freezer, and many pots and pans; powder room. The first floor has three double rooms, a single room, two bathrooms (one with bath, other with shower), living room with satellite television.
