This attractive farmhouse is situated on a magnificent hillside, in a strategic position on the ancient Via Francigena that linked France to Rome. This is an excellent location from which to visit Florence (approx. 35 kilometres) and Siena (approx. 40 km), as well as many other many hilltop villages nearby.

The panoramic hilltop position of the property dominates the surrounding valleys offering 360° views, and it's completely surrounded by sunflower fields, olive groves and vineyards. In the closest town, Castelfiorentino (3 km) you'll find every kind of shop and supermarket as well as restaurants. The owners of the estate produce excellent wine and olive oil that can be purchased on site.

Rosso Toscano Farmhouse has been recently renovated, resulting in 8 holiday rental apartments and one standalone house. All the units include all modern comforts while maintaining the traditional Tuscan style, with careful and pleasant furnishings that will make your stay warm and homely.

Each apartment is equipped with independent heating system, open fireplace, satellite TV, dishwasher and and independent private open space, with dining table and chairs. The property has a shared large swimming pool (6x12 metres), a garden, table tennis, public telephone, barbecue, children's play area, lawn bowling ground and shared laundry room. There is also a babysitter service available, and we have an apartment suitable for use by disabled visitors. There is a 'club-house- style communal room where breakfast is served to all guests.

Melo apartment(80 m², sleeps 4+, 2 bathrooms)

Adapted for disabled guests. On the ground floor there is a living-room with fireplace, kitchen, two double bedrooms, two bathrooms with shower (one is for disabled people). A nice arbour in front of the house.

Guardia farm house, independent house rental (80 m², sleeps 6, 2 bathrooms)

On the first floor a spacious living room/kitchen with large fireplace, three bedrooms and one bathroom with shower and one with bathtub. Private garden. Property lies 400 metres from the swimming pool and other buildings.

FACILITIES NEARBY: Tennis courts in Castelfiorentino (3 km), horse riding nearby (10 km) and Castelfalfi Golf Club in Montaione (18 km).

LOCATION: Closest villages for shops and restaurants are Castelfiorentino (3 km) or Montespertoli (6 km). Florence 35 km, Siena 40 km, Pisa 60 km. Beautiful towns to visit nearby are Certaldo (10 minutes), San Gimignano (30 km), Volterra (40 minutes), the Chianti region and Vinci (birthplace of Leonardo). Access to the farmhouse is via 2.5 km of dirt track road.
