I am just writing to express how pleased we were with our recent stay (16/7 for 2 weeks) at Villa Il Guscio. This was our fifth summer staying in Tuscany and most enjoyable. The villa was very well maintained and very beautiful!  The air conditioning was much appreciated and made for a comfortable stay. The pool was a fantastic size and, again, very well maintained. However, it was the friendliness of the owner, Mrs. Birindelli, and staff that really added to the holiday. The keyholder in particular was always attentive and helpful without being intrusive. Unfortunately we didn't pick up his name. We would be most grateful if you could pass on our appreciation to all concerned.

P.S. One small problem we did encounter was that the security deposit mentioned on our voucher was €250. However, Mrs. Birindelli required €500 which could have proved embarrassing! I wondered whether or not this is a discrepancy that has been overlooked?
