Dear Lisa,
We spent a week at Agricola Franschiera ( Valpiana) near Massa Marittima. The units were beautiful and the setting on the farm overlooking the vineyards and the olive groves was magnificent. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfasts every morning were great and we enjoyed making use of the braai ( barbecue) facility in the evenings. We would sit on the patio, sipping the lovely Italian wine and watch the sunset over the Follonica beaches.
From here - we did day trips down to Porto Stefano, up to Livorno, another day to San Gimignano and the other beautiful hilltop towns in the area.
If we did not feel like travelling far Villa Franschiera had a beautiful pool area with sun loungers,changerooms and a sauna.
Everything was so clean, neat and well kept. I would highly recommend  this villa. We had a wonderful holiday in Tuscany.
