Tuscan villa for rent close to Florence
Lying 15km from the centre of Florence, Tuscany, Villa Il Paggio sleeps three with one master bedroom and two bathrooms.
The villa is built from the rough-hewn stones of the Florentine hills, the apartment
is set in an oasis of peace and tranquillity, surrounded by pine and cypress
trees and holly bushes (which give their name to the chalet). There is a shaded
terrace
in front of the apartment, which opens out onto an enchanting view of the cities
of Florence
and Fiesole ¾ both of which are only a few kilometres away. The apartment is
a perfect refuge to which you can escape after a day exploring historic Florence.
The accommodation is composed of a living room with modern sofa, which converts
into a double bed. There is a double bedroom with doors that open onto the pine
forest,
and private bathrooms. Right next door there is a well-equipped kitchen. The
Chalet can host from two to three guests and is ideal for families. There is
private parking where you can leave your car, and take the bus from the nearby
stop into Florence.
The property lies 350 metres above sea level, and is about 10km from Piazza Signoria in Florence. The guests’ sitting room at the main villa has large windows and the fireplace leads to the terrace where the continental breakfast is served in the
warmer months. Your host is an excellent chef, specialises in Sicilian dishes and can on occasion, be persuaded to prepare delicious menus. Nearby are the famous gardens of Pratolino and Villa Demidoff, and you can rent mountain bikes or walk through the woods as far as Fiesole. There is a riding stables a short distance away. Florence itself is fifteen minutes away by car or by the regular bus service.
